Thank you for becoming part of SOGreen - Southshorenow's Green Group where we hope like minds will discuss environmental issues in our communities and share ideas, events, articles, hints & tips on reducing, reusing and recycling and being kinder to the environment.

SOGreen Group - has been set up as a meeting place for individuals and businesses who are interested in green issues, wish to embrace lower impact living, want to reduce their carbon footprint and strive for a healthier, happier planet.

Small changes - in the way we live can have a large impact on our environment. We hope that SOGreen will be a helpful community for those wishing to start making those changes and through How-To articles, videos and discussions we hope people will be encouraged to start making those small changes.

WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE NOW?
* Shop Locally- Buying food that has been produced locally or even within Nova Scotia, cuts down the amount of fossil fuels burned in transportation. Shopping locally ensures your food is fresh and supports the local economy!
* Reduce, Reuse, Recycle- We live in a throw away society. Reduce local landfill by mending and making do or why not giveaway something you don't need or trade it. You can do this here by going to GREENCYCLE. Click here!
