Shipped Out- Crowds gathered on both sides of the LaHave River on the morning of July 21 to see off a contentious visitor, the former HMCS Fraser. The 56-year-old decommissioned warship was returned to the Department of National Defence by its current owner, the Artificial Reef Society of Nova Scotia, after a 12-year stay at the Bridgewater Marine Terminal. Two DND tugboats guided the Fraser away from her berth at 8 a.m. and took her stern-first down the river.
